An opportunity to discover the new Poland
With its large bright stand, a blazing green carpet, football games and really tasty toffees the Polish stand stood out at the fair. Many visitors took an extra interest in the European Football Championship which will be battled out in Poland and the Ukraine this summer.
"The football tournament gives us a chance to show off the changed, modern Poland, which is a fun and interesting country to visit. One of the reasons why we participate at TUR is that we want to change the general conception of Poland as being grey and dull," says Malgorzata Hudyma, Director Nordic Countries at the Polish Tourist Organisation."
So what's there to see and do when you visit Poland?
"We have a tremendous lot of things to offer – culture, history, architecture, design, spa- culture, good food, open-minded people, shopping, the sea, miles of sandy beaches, mountains, you name it..."
