Visitors and Exhibitors – Thank you for busy days at TUR

This year´s TUR resulted in 32 700 visits over 4 days and what a fantastic atmosphere we had at this year's TUR! Still, I have a very good feeling. There was a high level of activities, the seminars were really appreciated and well attended, and lots of business deals were struck.

I am very pleased to see an increased use of our tools. For instance, a massive 850 meetings were booked via our matchmaking service, to be compared with last year's 500 – an increase by an impressive 70 per cent. And the fact that the exhibitors offered 194 deals compared to 139 last year indicates a serious interest in buying and selling on location.

The number of countries and regions represented went up from 79 to 91. We received positive feedback on having gathered everything on one level – turning it into a more compact and intense fair. And the Swedish exhibitors experienced a better flow of visitors compared to previous years. We had a lot of truly interesting appearances on our stages, for instance the Minister of Foreign Affairs Carl Bildt and the Tourism Minister of Egypt.

The public days offered lots of chances to try out activities, which helped making the fair enjoyable for the whole family. I would therefore like to extend my gratitude to all visitors and exhibitors who all contributed to making TUR an experience for all senses, as well as a place for conducting meetings and business!
